Dr. Joshua Daniel is an optometrist at Envision Eye Care who brings more than a decade of clinical experience and a genuine passion for helping patients see and feel their best.
Since earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 2012, Dr. Daniel has cared for patients across Kentucky and Tennessee, treating everything from routine vision needs to complex ocular disease.
Before joining Envision Eye Care, Dr. Daniel spent nine years practicing at Tri-State Ophthalmology, where he gained extensive experience in diabetic eye care, glaucoma management, and medical optometry. His favorite part of optometry is solving everyday problems that make a real, meaningful difference in a patient’s quality of life. Dry eye management holds a special place in his work, and he is passionate about helping patients experience genuine relief after years of frustration.

Outside the exam room, Dr. Daniel is a devoted husband to his wife, Abby, and a proud dad to their young son, Max, who keeps him busy with Hot Wheels races, Bluey marathons, and endless adventures. When he does find a quiet moment, Dr. Daniel enjoys all things Marvel, The Lord of the Rings, Nintendo, and fantasy novels.
New to the Bristol community, he and his family love exploring the local outdoors and are always open to restaurant recommendations. A fun fact? Dr. Daniel is developing a comic book series about a superhero optometrist who battles villains inspired by common eye diseases.
