Eye Exams in Virginia
Everyone should have an annual eye exam to make sure that their eyes are healthy and will stay that way, whether they wear corrective lenses or not. During a comprehensive eye exam, our experienced eye doctors evaluate every aspect of your eye health, looking for developing eye conditions and updating your vision prescription to make sure that you can see life clearly.
Pediatric Eye Exams
We provide care for every member of the family — including children as young as 6 months old. Eye problems are a common occurrence in children, and they’re not easily identified without the help of an experienced eye doctor.
It’s important that these problems are treated early. Unaddressed vision problems can interfere with long-term eye health, as well as learning and social development. During a pediatric eye exam, we screen for eye conditions and provide our young patients with eyewear or vision therapy when necessary.

Those with low vision have eyesight that is so poor, it can’t be fully corrected with eyewear or vision surgery. At Envision Eye Care, we provide treatments for low vision patients that can help them get the most out of their sight. We cater our low vision rehabilitation to the individual, recommending exercises, specialized eyeglasses, and training with the aim of enhancing their vision and improving their quality of life.
Glaucoma is a group of conditions that occur when pressure inside the eye becomes too high, which can push against the optic nerve. When left untreated, glaucoma can cause irreversible vision loss. We offer patients glaucoma examinations and provide co-management for treatment. Together, we can address your glaucoma and protect your vision.
Using our advanced digital retinal imaging equipment, we can detect vision-threatening eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy. This complication of diabetes occurs when fluctuations in blood sugar levels cause damage to blood vessels inside the retina. This can lead to vision loss if not treated early. We can detect retinal problems for our patients with diabetes, and offer vision-saving treatment for diabetic retinopathy.

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD), one of the leading causes of vision loss, occurs when the macula — the central part of the retina — begins to deteriorate. The macula is responsible for central vision, and directly impacts your ability to read, drive, and recognize faces or colors. If we find that your eyes may be at risk, our Marion eye doctors will provide you with the resources and special care you need to manage AMD and keep it from progressing.
As you age, the clear lens of the eye becomes clouded, causing blurry vision. This clouding is called a cataract. Cataracts will affect your quality of life, but they can be easily removed with cataract surgery. At Envision Eye Care, we work closely with your cataract surgeon to ensure that all of your needs during pre and post-operative care are being met.
